Join us for a Full Moon Ceremony and Kirtan! Purnima, or the full moon, is a sacred time to re-align with the cosmic rhythm. It’s a time to go into yourself and allow the luminosity of the moon to reveal Truth in your being. The moon controls the manas, or the mind, so when we reach the full moon point in the cycle, our minds are more open and receptive. We allow this innate sense of receptivity to expand our awareness and illuminate areas in our lives where we can release and where we can cultivate.
This month we will enjoy the devotional, Bhakti, practice of kirtan to seal our ceremony. Mantras will be provided, and no experience is required. Kirtan, like all practices of yoga, simply require you to show up for yourself in whatever capacity brings you ease and stability. You are not required to chant or dance, but you are welcome. Kirtan is a lively experience, even when you remain still and just receive, so give yourself this opportunity to experience the power of devotion and yoga as a tool to re-ignite your spirit and enliven your rhythm.
What to expect:
Each ceremony will include different practices, but below are some of what you might experience.
Intention setting, journaling, meditation, asana, chanting mantra, conversation, tea or cacao, creative project, and more.
Paper and pen will be provided at every gathering, but please feel free to bring your own. We will also be creating and alter, so please bring a small, meaningful item to add to the sacred space that we will sit around in ceremony.
**Full Moon and New Moon gatherings are included in class packages and memberships; $15 drop in rate applies for non-members
