Soma Yoga for Low Back & Hips

Do you hold the stressors of life in your body, or more to the point in your Low Back & Hips?  Are you interested in learning what you can do to reverse tightness in your lower back and hips?

We often seek modalities like massage (which is awesome) or chiropractic therapy, or just about anything to get relief.  If we stay unconscious to moving our bodies mindfully we “can” eventually become stuck from the constant command to the muscles to stay contracted and tight.  Soma yoga can give you relief!  The movements learned in this class will help you regain a deep sense of internal awareness and an ability to recognize when you are holding patterns that lead to discomfort or pain - and provide you with the tools to unravel the contraction.

Here is what you will learn & receive:

  • A greater awareness that comes from the inside - out

  • A series of therapeutic moves targeted to the full body and specifically {Low Back & Hip pain }

  • How to slowly lengthen and release the muscles to completely relax; and not through “stretching”

  • Start to recognize and release dysfunctional patterns of tightness the can cause chronic pain

  • Lastly, you will receive a handout to take home to practice this series - remember we learn best through practiced movement
